When Chavet set sail from France to America, a new cabin boy signed on for the expedition. The explorers ended up in this beautiful area and built a settlement. The Native Americans were fascinated with the mysterious cabin boy and called him "Little John", or in French, "Petit Jean". One day the lad became very sick. While caring for the boy, the Native Americans discovered that the cabin boy was really Adrienne, cleverly disguised so that not even Chavet had recognized her. Chavet rushed to her side, but she died in his arms, telling him that she loved him and was sorry for deceiving him. To this day, Petit Jean's tiny grave can be seen on top of the mountain, now surrounded by a rusting iron fence. They went to the room where the man died long ago on the third floor. They don't know if it was a setup by the hotel owner, but there was a very dusty wooden chair in the room with an imprint on it that looked as if someone had been sitting on it recently. There was a smell of smoke from a cigarette in the small room. The owner told them that the ghost likes to smoke in the room often.
