Private Case #5: Date: April 1, 2007 Time: 10pm Location: Players Bar, Hot Springs, Arkansas Investigators on site: Karen, Cathy, Rhonda Guest participants: Rhonda's daughter, Heather and Thomas, aka Mr. Twister, a magician and spirit medium. Brief Property Description and History: The building has been Players Bar for many years operating with great success directly across the street from the Oaklawn Race Track. At one time during the 20's, it was a dry goods store. The structure was built in the early 1900's and has no record of death inside the building. Current Sightings and Experiences: A bell that can only be activated by physically pushing a button has gone off several times mysteriously while no one except the manager or an employee is in the bar. This type of bell tone is not programmed into the device. There is no explanation for it. Several employees and even a few customers have seen the apparition of woman who sits at the end of the bar by the window. Not long ago, a patron entered the bar and looked around puzzled. She asked the bartender about a woman she just saw through the window before entering the establishment. She described the woman as being dressed in a Victorian dress. The bartender told the customer that no one had been sitting at the end of the bar near the window at any time that day. Just recently, April 10, 2007, the bar owner's daughter heard voices inside the establishment and upon investigation, found that she was alone in the building. The voices were loud and as soon as she turned the corner to enter the next room, the voices ceased. She was very spooked by the event. She believes that the voices were definitely coming from inside the room. Equipment Used: 2 digital super night shot Sony videocams 3 digital cameras 3 EMF detectors 2 DVR's (Digital Voice Recorders) Reported Findings and Experiences: Upon arrival at 10pm investigators began video taping and using audio recorders in the room adjacent to the main bar area. This area was once a separate business, a dry goods store built in the 1920's. The main building that now houses the bar was once a plumbing shop, also built in the early 20's. According to county records, no deaths have occurred in either building. CASPR Director, Karen, did a sweep for EMF readings upon entering the building. Both Karen and Thomas felt the presence of something unseen as the EMF detector went off while she was holding it. There was nothing electrical that could cause the EMF in that area to register. For approximately 30 seconds both of them felt a chill in the air and every hair stood on end. Both believe they were sensing the presence of one of the entities that may haunt this bar. Photos below were taken by investigator, Rhonda Burton. She says that her camera normally picks up orbs as round objects, never triangular like this one. Our review team finds this shape interesting and unique. We do not believe that this is a lone speck of dust that just happened to hang out while the investigators were attempting to use dowsing rods to communicate with the unseen entities. Click on the photos for a larger view. We are planning a return visit to conduct another investigation soon. Thanks, Stevie!
